I got this cooker back in 1984- a company in Columbia had bought the patent back then. . I have replaced the cooking grates once but only because I had not kept a routine program of cleaning. I have also replaced the set of wheels recently. This grill holds up as if new.
This is the absolute best grill on the market for indirect cooking- I have seen nothing that can compare. And the quality of its construction and its durability will outlive you!
I am glad to know that Lowcountry Cookers has replacement parts available when needed and very excited that the PDQ lives on!
